If you are considering the signature design by ashley destin cove queen mattress alternatives, you should first understand what the original offers. This 16-inch plush hybrid features a pillow top, wrapped coils, and a cooling cover. It provides deep cushioning and edge support for sleepers who want a high-profile bed. The quilted foam and quick-response memory foam aim to relieve pressure points while minimizing motion transfer.
You might look for something else if you prefer a different firmness, height, or material. Some shoppers want a lower profile, zoned lumbar support, or latex instead of foam. The alternatives listed here were chosen because their specifications overlap with the original. Each option shares key traits like plush comfort, hybrid construction, or queen sizing. You can compare these 6 picks to find the exact balance of thickness, cooling, and support that fits your sleeping style.
How these alternatives compare
Signature Design by Ashley 13" Queen Pillow Top Hybrid
This Signature Design by Ashley model sits at 13 inches tall, making it noticeably lower profile than the 16-inch Destin Cove. You get wrapped coils and a pillow top, similar to the original, but the thickness is reduced by three inches. The weight drops to 93 pounds, which may simplify setup. It includes cooling gel foam for temperature regulation, a feature not explicitly listed for the Destin Cove. If you prefer a standard-height bed that still offers hybrid support and edge reinforcement, this version provides a more compact footprint. It retains the plush feel but sacrifices some of the deep cushioning volume found in the taller model.
Serta Perfect Sleeper 15-Inch Plush Pillow Top Queen
The Serta Perfect Sleeper stands 15 inches high, one inch shorter than the Destin Cove’s 16-inch profile. It shares the plush firmness and pillow top design, offering comparable contouring comfort. This model weighs 92.5 pounds, making it lighter than the Ashley option. It features reinforced perimeter edge support, similar to the Destin Cove, ensuring stability along the sides. The Serta focuses on targeted zoned lumbar support for spinal alignment, which adds a specific structural benefit not detailed in the Ashley specs. If you want a slightly slimmer hybrid with dedicated back support zones, this is a strong alternative that maintains the plush aesthetic you might like.
Serta Perfect Sleeper X Max 15" Queen Hybrid
This Serta Perfect Sleeper X Max matches the 15-inch height of the other Serta option but remains one inch shorter than the Destin Cove. It is a hybrid with a plush pillow top, aligning with the original’s comfort style. At 117 pounds, it is slightly heavier than the Ashley mattress. This model emphasizes multi-zone support and dedicated cooling foam, features that go beyond the general cooling cover of the Destin Cove. It is designed for side sleepers needing uncompressed support. If you prioritize targeted cooling technology and zoned spinal alignment in a plush hybrid, this version offers advanced comfort layers while maintaining a similar tall profile.
Serta Perfect Sleeper Pro Valais 15" Plush Latex Hybrid
The Serta Perfect Sleeper Pro Valais is a 15-inch latex hybrid, differing from the Destin Cove’s all-foam and coil construction. It shares the plush firmness and pillow top style but uses graphite latex for a more responsive surface. Weighing 114 pounds, it matches the Ashley mattress exactly in weight. This model features zoned coils for targeted support, similar to the wrapped coils in the original, but the latex layer provides a cooler, bouncier feel than memory foam. If you want the plush height and edge support of the Destin Cove but prefer the responsiveness and breathability of latex, this hybrid offers a distinct material experience with comparable structural support.
DIGLANT 14-Inch Plush Queen Euro Top Hybrid
The DIGLANT model stands at 14 inches, two inches shorter than the 16-inch Destin Cove. It features a euro top rather than a pillow top, creating a smoother, less bulky transition from the mattress body. At 105 pounds, it is lighter than the Ashley option. This hybrid uses pocket coils and includes edge support, matching key structural features of the original. It is certified fiberglass-free, a safety detail not mentioned for the Destin Cove. The plush foam provides pressure relief similar to the Ashley’s quick-response memory foam. If you want a slightly lower profile with a sleek euro top design and certified safe materials, this alternative offers a clean, supportive sleep surface.
Serta Tranquility 16" Plush Queen Pillow Top
The Serta Tranquility matches the Destin Cove at 16 inches tall, offering the same high-profile presence. It shares the plush firmness and pillow top style, ensuring a similar contouring feel. Weighing 115 pounds, it is nearly identical in weight to the Ashley mattress. This model includes dedicated lumbar support for spinal alignment, a specific benefit not detailed in the Destin Cove specs. It provides deep pressure relief suitable for side sleepers, much like the original. If you want the exact same height and plush aesthetic but prefer a mattress with emphasized zoned spinal support, this Serta option delivers a comparable tall profile with targeted back care features.
