- 14-inch hybrid build featuring a plush gel memory foam Euro Top
- 7-zone individually wrapped pocket spring support system
- Reinforced high-density foam perimeter for edge stability
- CertiPUR-US and Oeko-tex certified foams and fabrics
Good fit for
This mattress fits you if you need a spacious 72-by-84-inch California King surface with targeted support. The 7-zone coil core delivers firmer pushback under hips and softer relief under shoulders, suiting side, back, and combination sleepers. If you prefer a thick 14-inch profile with a plush Euro Top feel, this setup works well. The reinforced foam perimeter also benefits sleepers who use the entire edge of the bed.
Who can skip it
Skip this mattress if you need a firm sleeping surface, as the data lists a medium to medium-plush feel. At 14 inches tall and 125 pounds, it is not suited for low-profile bed frames, shallow sheets, or buyers wanting a lightweight bed that moves easily. You should also look elsewhere if your room requires standard King or Queen dimensions instead of this extended California King footprint.
Verdict
The Suiforlun 14-Inch Cal King Euro Top Hybrid pairs zoned pocket coils with gel memory foam for sleepers seeking targeted body support and edge stability. It gives you a substantial California King build backed by a 10-year support policy and certified materials.
Key Specifications Explained for Buyers
Mattress Size: California King
A California King measures 72 inches wide by 84 inches long. This gives you four extra inches of length compared to a standard king, making it ideal if you are a taller sleeper whose feet dangle off standard beds. You need a dedicated Cal King bed frame and fitted sheets, as standard king bedding will not fit properly.
Firmness: Medium Plush
Medium-plush firmness creates noticeable surface sink while maintaining underlying spinal stability. You benefit most from this balance if you sleep on your side or back, as the foam contours to your shoulders and hips to relieve joint pressure. If you are a strict stomach sleeper, compare this with a firmer model to prevent unwanted hip dipping.
Weight: 125 pounds
At 125 pounds, this mattress is heavy to unbox and position on your bed base. You will likely need a second person to assist when moving the package upstairs or rotating it. Compare this weight with standard all-foam options, which often weigh significantly less and prove much easier to maneuver during routine sheet changes.
Certifications: CertiPUR-US, Oeko-tex
These independent standards verify that the foam and fabric pass emissions checks and contain no harmful chemicals. You gain peace of mind regarding indoor air quality and reduced off-gassing odors when setting up the mattress in your bedroom. Compare this to uncertified mattresses, which may emit stronger chemical odors or lack verified component safety standards.
Design and Build Specifications
The Suiforlun model SFL-GRY14 measures 72 inches wide, 84 inches long, and 14 inches high. It weighs 125 pounds, so you need a bed frame capable of supporting a heavier hybrid build. The exterior features a grey breathable fabric cover finished with a plush Euro Top. According to the listing, the mattress arrives compressed in a box for delivery directly to your room.
Inside, the layout pairs foam layers with a pocket coil core. A layer of cooling gel memory foam sits at the top to cushion your body. Underneath, a 7-zone system of individually wrapped pocket springs provides targeted support under your hips, waist, shoulders, and legs. High-density foam borders wrap the perimeter to reinforce edge stability. In addition, the foam is CertiPUR-US certified, the fabric is Oeko-tex certified, and waste reduction is Global Recycled Standard verified.
These specifications shape how you set up and use the bed. The 14-inch height means you will likely need deep-pocket sheets to cover the corners properly. A 125-pound weight keeps the mattress stable on your base, though you will need assistance when moving it. The perimeter foam allows you to use the complete 72-inch width without feeling the edges sag when you sit or sleep.
Setup Process and Everyday Mattress Use
The Suiforlun California King mattress arrives compressed in a box for delivery into your home. Because the boxed product weighs 125 pounds, lifting the package and guiding it onto your bed frame requires two people. After unboxing and placing it on a compatible 72-by-84-inch foundation, the interior pocket coils and foam layers decompress to reach their full 14-inch profile.
In daily use, the hybrid architecture accommodates individual routines and shared sleeping arrangements. Individually wrapped pocket springs isolate motion to prevent partner disturbances when someone shifts position or gets out of bed. Reinforced high-density foam borders line the perimeter, giving you stable edge support to sit comfortably or sleep across the full width without roll-off.
The 7-zone spring system targets body areas directly, offering firmer support under your hips and waist while cushioning your shoulders and legs. This balance supports side, back, stomach, and combination sleepers. Above the springs, the breathable cover and cooling gel memory foam facilitate air circulation. In addition, the foam holds CertiPUR-US certification, the fabric meets Oeko-tex standards, and the construction includes Global Recycled Standard waste reduction verification. A 120-night trial and 10-year support back the mattress for everyday ownership.
Before Buying the Suiforlun California King
Before purchasing, verify your bedding and bed frame compatibility. At 14 inches thick, this mattress requires deep-pocket fitted sheets tailored for California King dimensions. Standard King bedding will not fit the 72-inch by 84-inch surface.
Your bed base must hold the 125-pound mattress plus sleeper weight. Ensure your frame provides even, rigid support across the base to support the 7-zone pocket spring core and reinforced foam borders.
Upkeep reflects the single-sided hybrid build. Because the mattress features a plush Euro Top over cooling gel memory foam, you do not flip it. Keep the breathable cover clean using surface spot cleaning.
If you own standard King bedding or a wider 76-inch frame, Suiforlun also produces this 14-inch hybrid in standard King and Queen sizes. Confirming your room layout and frame dimensions ensures proper edge placement.
Check before you buy
- Measure your bed frame to confirm 72-inch width and 84-inch length California King dimensions.
- Ensure your bed base can hold 125 pounds plus total sleeper weight.
- Verify your fitted sheets accommodate a 14-inch thickness.
- Select the Queen or standard King option if you have standard-sized furniture.

Frequently asked questions
What firmness level is the Suiforlun California King mattress?
The Suiforlun California King mattress has a medium firmness rating. This balance provides contouring memory foam alongside structured pocket coils. It supports your spine while cushioning your hips and shoulders, making it suitable if you switch between your back and your side during sleep.
Does the Suiforlun California King hybrid sleep hot?
This model includes cooling gel infused into its memory foam layers to help regulate surface heat. Because it is a hybrid design, air flows naturally around the internal pocket coils. These combined specs help channel warmth away from your body better than an all-foam mattress build.
What sleeping positions work best on this Suiforlun mattress?
This mattress is designed primarily for combination sleepers and back sleepers. The medium firmness gives you enough pushback to maintain spinal alignment when resting on your back. The hybrid foam layers also provide pressure relief around key contact points whenever you shift to your side.
How is the Suiforlun California King mattress constructed?
The mattress uses a hybrid interior that combines individually wrapped pocket coils with gel-infused memory foam. Standing 14 inches tall, the layered structure provides targeted support across your body while easing joint tension. The independent coil base also helps limit motion transfer across the bed surface.
What are the exact dimensions of this mattress?
The Suiforlun model SFL-GRY14 measures 72 inches wide by 84 inches long with a 14-inch total profile height. It weighs 125 pounds in total. These exact measurements ensure you have sufficient legroom if you are taller, though you should confirm your frame matches these California King dimensions.
Does the Suiforlun hybrid mattress provide pressure relief?
Yes, the Suiforlun hybrid is built specifically for pressure relief. Its memory foam layers adapt to your body contours, easing strain along your shoulders and lower back. At the same time, the pocket coils underneath reinforce your posture so your hips do not sink too deeply.
